Adobe MAX 2011 - Los Angeles

May 26th Meeting - Mobile Madness : Developing for iOS & Android - A PANMA educational event

As a follow up to our last PFPAUG meeting in February on mobile, I'll be presenting on new features of Flash CS 5.5 and AIR for developing mobile apps for both iOS and Android devices. I'll be doing this in conjunction with one of our fellow Philly tech groups, PANMA (the panma.org site currently down, but panma.net is available), on May 26th. There were so many things I so badly wanted to share back at our February meeting, but couldn't, however the cat is out of the bag now that the Adobe CS 5.5 Suite is shipping, so we can give you the low down, highlights and examples. I'll personally be giving the first public sneak preview on a couple personal mobile projects and some client work, to help delve into the new features. Very excited about sharing those.

Joe Kaufmann from http://www.firemaplegames.com/ will also be presenting about his experience with developing games for the iOS and Android markets with GameSalad, Corona and HTML5 for mobile devices. Joe has had a lot of success with GameSalad, and Corona is a really compelling solution (especially for folks familiar with Lua). So this should be a pretty imformative event with quite a lot to cover since our Mobile Development Demystified event from over a year ago just before CS5 shipped, and even from our PFPAUG meeting in February on mobile.
