Goodbye 2010, Here Comes 2011!

2010 is just about over with only 2011 a few weeks away! Our group was a bit dormant over the summer and fall due to an extended time off by our manager Rob, and a recent honeymoon for our co-manager Jason. However, we have some nice plans shaping up for 2011! We have been getting feedback and requests for some follow up and info on everything that went down at Adobe MAX 2010 in October, and the huge focus on mobile and devices. Now that Flash can target and deliver applications to iOS, Android, Blackberry, Google TV and others its high time for a mobile and devices get together! So one of our first events in January will be yep you guessed, Mobile and Devices with Flash for 2011. We will have the scoop on developing for all the latest mobile platforms with Flash/Flex, with demos, devices and more. More details will be posted shortly on the exact meeting date and time.

We also want to give a shout out to one of our other local tech groups the Philly Cocoaheads and their manager and our friend Andy Mroczkowski. Andy did a kickass job starting the group and running it for some time now. Andy recently accepted a position at Mindsnacks and will be moving to San Francisco for a year. Andy will be sorely missed while he is away! Here's to to keeping the momentum going for that group! Now we have one more reason to visit San Francisco a few times a year. :)

So good riddance to 2010, hope everyone enjoys the holidays this month and has a fantastic New Year - see you in 2011!
