This course is designed to provide students with a theoretical and practical understanding of MXML/AS3 Object-Oriented design principles. Students will obtain the perquisite skill-set necessary to design and produce interactive experiences utilizing core Adobe Flash platform technologies.
Flex & ActionScript 3.0 for Designers is for beginning MXML/AS3 designers and developers. The Flex framework and AS3 language will be covered from an object oriented design perspective with an emphasis on visual design and experimentation. The focus will be on writing, testing and de-bugging the code which will ultimately be deployed via the Adobe Flash Player. An increasingly complex series of exercises will gradually build the students knowledge and understanding of the MXML framework and AS3 programming language and syntax.
